Marc DeCarlo – Founder & CEO

Mr. DeCarlo began his career as a business analyst for Nichols Safina Lerner & Co. in Ft. Lauderdale. Fueled by a competitive spirit and desire to grow a business; in 2001, he took a position as the Franchise Sales Director of Lady of America Franchise Corporation, and over a span of five years expanded its operations from four to more than 700 clubs. During that time, he earned his real estate license to focus on commercial investment transactions and subsequently participated in the sale of the business to Trivest Partners for $48 million.

After gaining the requisite education, Mr. DeCarlo worked his way to Managing Director of the Wall Street Group and led the origination, structuring and closing of more than 50 transactions and more than 35 exits, totaling more than $1 billion dollars. As Chief Operating Officer of the Wall Street Group, he played an integral role in arranging acquisitions, recapitalizations and merger transactions for the firm’s middle market clients.

In 2013, advising against the sale of a then client’s business, Mr. DeCarlo completed a successful turnaround project as Chief Financial Officer with former Wall Street client EMJAC Industries, Inc., a $20 million stainless steel restaurant equipment and door manufacturer. Afterwards, he joined Griffin Hill & Associates as Executive Vice President; and through the acquisition of wireless assets, developed partnerships in the wireless technology sector in over 15 major metropolitan markets throughout the country that were sold to Metro Connect Wireless International.

Mr. DeCarlo received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Quincy University in 1994, and an MBA in Business from Oxford University in 2011. Mr. DeCarlo also holds multiple finance certifications from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and the University of Michigan.

Javier Vazquez – Chief Technology Officer

Javier has an 18-year career working in technology. He began at a data warehouse that used Supercomputers for the aggregation and organization of public records. He was in charge of monitoring critical infrastructure of supercomputers and the health and availability of customer applications in a NOC.

Next, while the telecommunications industry transitioned to modern infrastructure Javier played a critical role in the deployment of communications equipment and the provisioning of software solutions for large South American telecoms. This work experience bought him to LATAM where he rolled out these solutions all over the continent.

Upon leaving the telecom industry the progression from a Sales Engineer to an Enterprise Account Sales Executive had occurred. Selling IT Management solutions all over America from SMB’s to Fortune 100 companies. This experience was taught Javier the satisfaction of how meeting customers’ expectations by applying a technology solution to a business challenge can be so rewarding.

This experience of precisely monitoring IT services kickstarted the journey into the Internet of Things. Javier began providing solutions to industrial companies and manufacturers by mounting electronics with wireless data transmitters onto critical assets. This data is used for condition monitoring as well as production efficiency.

Terry Au – Managing Director

Terry Au has more than 12 years of investment banking and securities industry experience.

Mr. Au is an accomplished investment banker and entrepreneur who has advised and raised both public and private capital for acquisition vehicles and growth companies across multiple industries in the U.S. and Asia. Prior to joining RAN Holdings, Mr. Au was a Senior Investment Specialist in equity capital markets at West Park Capital in New York. In his role at WPC, he was part of a team that raised $16 million for an advertising technology platform called NYIAX/NASDAQ, which is expected to become a public company Mr. Au is a FINRA-licensed Series 7 and Series 63 holder.

As a Managing Director at RAN Holdings, Mr. Au is focused analyzing the next- generation technology and business operations of RAN Wireless and brings a network of industry contacts and advisors. Mr. Au received a BBA of Finance from Baruch College in 2002.

Stefanita-Rares Dumitrescu – Chief Information Officer

Stefanita-Rares Dumitrescu is a talented and accomplished IT professional with international experience in systems administration and security, directing product development, deployment, and change of operations.

Special expertise in improving functions and processes through re-architecture and re-deployment of systems and technologies. Over 15 years of hosting/servers industry experience.

Jerry Nichter – Operations Manager

Mr. Nichter is head of RAN Holdings back office support and operations for both clients and our team.

With a passion for customer service, Mr. Nichter is always ready to help with his courteous, professionalism and attention to detail. He provides clients and staff alike the assurance that he will provide the right answer or deliver the support that is needed. Mr. Nichter has more than 35 years of experience as a support professional establishing and maintaining vendor and client relationships within the currency and energy industries.

Mr. Nichter manages all client files and documentation, including FCC-required documentation and ownership records.
