Marc DeCarlo – Founder & CEO
Mr. DeCarlo began his career as a business analyst for Nichols Safina Lerner & Co. in Ft. Lauderdale. Fueled by a competitive spirit and desire to grow a business; in 2001, he took a position as the Franchise Sales Director of Lady of America Franchise Corporation, and over a span of five years expanded its operations from four to more than 700 clubs. During that time, he earned his real estate license to focus on commercial investment transactions and subsequently participated in the sale of the business to Trivest Partners for $48 million.
After gaining the requisite education, Mr. DeCarlo worked his way to Managing Director of the Wall Street Group and led the origination, structuring and closing of more than 50 transactions and more than 35 exits, totaling more than $1 billion dollars. As Chief Operating Officer of the Wall Street Group, he played an integral role in arranging acquisitions, recapitalizations and merger transactions for the firm’s middle market clients.
In 2013, advising against the sale of a then client’s business, Mr. DeCarlo completed a successful turnaround project as Chief Financial Officer with former Wall Street client EMJAC Industries, Inc., a $20 million stainless steel restaurant equipment and door manufacturer. Afterwards, he joined Griffin Hill & Associates as Executive Vice President; and through the acquisition of wireless assets, developed partnerships in the wireless technology sector in over 15 major metropolitan markets throughout the country that were sold to Metro Connect Wireless International.
Mr. DeCarlo received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Quincy University in 1994, and an MBA in Business from Oxford University in 2011. Mr. DeCarlo also holds multiple finance certifications from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and the University of Michigan.
Casey Burt – Managing Director
Casey Burt is Managing Director at RAN Holdings, LLC. In this role, he assists in the overall corporate development of the Company.
Mr. Burt integrates a strong, successful entrepreneurial background with extensive financial services and capital markets experience. Most recently, as a Senior Project Manager, Mr. Burt developed ongoing relationships other investment banking firms, market makers analysts and other private investors developing a nationwide network within the United States with an Industrial IoT focus.
Mr. Burt has worked with more than 350 publicly traded companies providing financial consulting and strategic planning services. He has previously held the Series 7, 24, 6 and 63 licenses and was Managing Director of Intercap Wealth Management, an investment banking and financial consulting affiliate of Gunn Allen Financial. He is the recipient of several entrepreneurial awards and his accomplishments have been profiled in BusinessWeek, as well as several other publications.
He attended the University of Cambridge, with a study focus completion of International Business and Finance.
Terry Au – Managing Director
Terry Au has more than 12 years of investment banking and securities industry experience.
Mr. Au is an accomplished investment banker and entrepreneur who has advised and raised both public and private capital for acquisition vehicles and growth companies across multiple industries in the U.S. and Asia. Prior to joining RAN Holdings, Mr. Au was a Senior Investment Specialist in equity capital markets at West Park Capital in New York. In his role at WPC, he was part of a team that raised $16 million for an advertising technology platform called NYIAX/NASDAQ, which is expected to become a public company Mr. Au is a FINRA-licensed Series 7 and Series 63 holder.
As a Managing Director at RAN Holdings, Mr. Au is focused analyzing the next- generation technology and business operations of RAN Wireless and brings a network of industry contacts and advisors. Mr. Au received a BBA of Finance from Baruch College in 2002.
Alan Friezer – Senior Sales Executive
Alan Friezer is an entrepreneurial, results-driven senior sales executive with over 40 years of sales experience.
Mr. Friezer began designing women’s apparel for several fashion houses, including Calvin Klein. He changed careers to sell Sweda cash registers and then business computing equipment for Burroughs. As Regional Branch Manager in New York City, he led a team of 20+ salesmen and for the next 15 years successfully smashed sales records for the company.
Mr. Friezer later started his own independent business, working with a worldwide leader in health and beauty and home care products. His success enabled him to leave his corporate career behind. He moved to Florida in 1986 and subsequently started a second business in the industrial chemical industry for another decade.
In 2000, Mr. Friezer accepted a position at Griffin Hill & Associates as a Senior Sales Executive. For the past 18 years, Mr. Friezer has focused on developing partnerships in the wireless technology sector and selling wireless spectrum investments in major U.S. markets including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Dallas and more.
Mr. Friezer received an Associates in Design degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Jerry Nichter – Operations Manager
Mr. Nichter is head of RAN Holdings back office support and operations for both clients and our team.
With a passion for customer service, Mr. Nichter is always ready to help with his courteous, professionalism and attention to detail. He provides clients and staff alike the assurance that he will provide the right answer or deliver the support that is needed. Mr. Nichter has more than 35 years of experience as a support professional establishing and maintaining vendor and client relationships within the currency and energy industries.
Mr. Nichter manages all client files and documentation, including FCC-required documentation and ownership records.
